Bio
THE LOVE OF MUSIC. That is what has kept Days Of Rain playing together for the last 14 years, through a variety of musical trends, major life changes, and a continually evolving line-up of players.
Coming from a diverse range of musical backgrounds, there are many different artist who have unknowingly influenced us as a band. These include bands like U2, Lifehouse, The Eagles, Common Children, Jars Of Clay, Live, Vertical Horizon, The Choir, Pearl Jam and many others. More recently we’ve been influenced by artists such as David Crowder, John Mayer, and Dave Matthews.
Days of Rain was formed in 1995 with Mike and Curtis, along with their friend Wes Hunter. Dave joined the following year and the songwriting team of Curtis and Dave was formed. The musical chemistry between the two of us has led to the writing of many of the band’s strongest songs.
Not wanting to become stagnant, we have jumped between and combined many different musical genres. We decided that, to keep it fun and interesting for ourselves, we would play whatever we wanted to. Sometimes rock, sometimes alternative…and sometimes there is a little jazzy-funk stuff…and occasionally Dave’s folk background shows up in the mix to create something new and interesting.
